PJ McCoy
Owner and Pet Stylist
PJ McCoy started volunteering with his local animal shelter at 14 years old and has been in the industry ever since. Certified as a pet groomer through the Animal Behavioral College, PJ has taken several continuing education courses, including professional-level training in cat and rabbit grooming. He is additionally certified in doodle and poodle-mix grooming and trained in the hand-stripping technique for wire-coated dogs.
Having worked on, and had success with, a number of nervous, reactive or otherwise “difficult” animals, PJ understands that a great grooming experience starts with the stylist’s environment and energy. SouthPaw Grooming was designed with that in mind — PJ prioritizes calm, confident interactions to make every pet as comfortable as possible.
Ashley Pagnozzi
Veteran Pet Stylist
Ashley Pagnozzi got her start in grooming in the prominent Dallas, Texas market in 2012, but she has been working with animals in various capacities since she was 15 years old. Before discovering her passion for grooming and talent as a pet stylist, Ashley worked in vet offices, rescues and daycares, giving her wide-ranging experience in dealing with all kinds of dogs. She specializes in terrier cuts and has extensive practice in hand-stripping for wire-coated breeds. Ashley also trained SouthPaw owner PJ McCoy, giving the salon a shared philosophy and consistent approach when it comes to making every client’s grooming experience as positive as possible.
